Route Summary
A pleasant challenge for hill walkers on the Sunday. Traverse the ridge from Craignarget onto Cairnsmore of Fleet & enjoy splendid views over Wigtown Bay & north into the Galloway Heartland.

Primarily an archaeological expedition but a great walk with stunning coastal scenery. Explore upland farms, historical sites and savour the history associated with this quiet corner of Galloway

Route Summary
A truely coastal walk, gentle at first, then rising very steadily to the cliff tops with a visit to Cruggleton Castle. Return by Galloway House with it's beautifully kept gardens. Birdlife in abundance.

 Lead Mines

The lead mining industry has left its mark on the local countryside & this walk takes you to some remarkable hidden locations of this one time major employer in Galloway. Fine views also on the way.

The walk explores the Scottish Booktown, with time to visit some of the many shops, as well as visiting the largest marshland nature reserve in Scotland. We have Ospreys here to remember!

This locally renowned walk will be interspersed with readings from her book. Mainly flat, but ideally suited to savour views over the Minnigaff Hills, Wigtown Bay and Cairnsmore of Fleet.
